Palatine is a major Chicago suburb located in Cook County, Illinois, approximately 30 miles northwest of Chicago. According to the 2010 census, Palatine had a population of close to 70,000, making it the 7th largest town in Cook County. It covers a total area ao approximately 14 square miles.

Deer Grove Forest Preserve offers Palatine residents excellent access to nature, with over 1800 acres of camping, fishing, and hiking grounds. The downtown area features a vibrant nightlife scene, with Durty Nellies being the most prominent establishment. There are also a few gyms and fitness centers offering classes throughout Palatine.

Commute to Chicago

Commutes can get to Chicago via the Metra system, and the station is conveniently located in the downtown area. It takes approximately an hour to get to the city center. If you’re driving, you can take I-90 or I-290 E. Depending on traffic, you can expect to reach downtown between 45 minutes and 2 hours.
